Dr. John E. Purpura, DDS, FAGD

"Dr. John," as most people know him, has many years of experience as a dentist. He was born into a family of doctors and artists, so at an early age developed a strong understanding of the synergy between science and the arts. While in college he studied physics, biology and the art of holography – everything that dentistry encompasses!

His yearning to help people lead him to Columbia University, School of Dental and Oral Surgery, where he could combine his sculpting talents and medicine. After completing his training, he joined the faculty of Columbia University to teach TMD and Facial Pain Management. He earned the tittle of Assistant-Associated Clinical Professor. Yet, his pursuit of knowledge has never stopped.

He has received the Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. Currently writing dental education articles, he is also a member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Caribbean Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

When not perfecting the art of dentistry , Dr John can be found either creating new Holograms and imaging techniques, or Scuba and Free-diving to depths of 70 feet and beyond!

Elca Haynes Treatment Coordinator

Elca Haynes has been in the Dental field for most of her adult life. She is the wife of the late Dr. Haynes of St Thomas, US Virgin Islands.

Her ability to comfort and empathize with the patients will set you at ease from the moment you walk into the office. She is fluent in both Spanish and English which helps those who are not has bilingual.

When she is not attending to your needs in the dental chair you may find her either setting the dance floor on fire with her great Salsa moves or spending quiet, quality time with her two lovely children, Elena and Nicole.
