White Fillings, Composite Filling

Boys will be boys; while rough housing with his brother this young man had his two front teeth (number 7, right lateral and 8 right central) partially knocked out (tooth avulsion). The radiographs showed that there were no bone fractures and the teeth were able to be reimplanted to ther original position. A root canal (endodontic therapy) has not been ruled out and may be needed at a later date. The teeth were fixed to the neighboring teeth for support, acting as a splint while the roots healed and reattached to the socket. After one month the teeth were firm with no pain and the final bonding was done. As seen in the after photograph, no evidence of the trauma exist. The final bonding was done with a mixture shades from Esthet-X a micro matrix restorative composite by Dentsply.
